Back to the hospital

My wife's strength and mobility have dropped off precipitously in the past few days. She was unable to even lift her legs to get out of the car when we went for her usual visit to the pain clinic Tuesday. One ambulance ride later and we're in the local ER. They've transferred her up to the hospital where she had her spinal surgery in June. So postings here and on Facebook will be erratic and probably not about miniatures for the next few days as the doctors try to figure out what's happened. I've got my smartphone, so I'll try and keep up with everything, even if I don't have much to contribute. Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes, prayers and good thoughts. Tracey and I appreciate it!

  4. My thoughts are with you and your wife. I know it can be hard to be strong and don't be afraid to let it out also. Keeping something bottled up is never a good thing.

My wife and I had a tough time with her older sister having multiple trips to the hospital over the years. She suffered from serious pain, immune system issues, brittle bones and had to have multiple surgeries including amputation of both legs over time. All mainly due to juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and some other issues.

  6. Thank you all for the well wishes. I had a cerebral spinal fluid leak that was forming a pouch in my spine causing spinal cord compression. They did an MRI, exploratory surgery and installed a lumbar drain line. I did a lot better after the drain and now feel better than I did compared to my surgery in June of this year. We are back home now for the past week. I hope the dura on my spine continues to heal and I don't get another leak.
